STYX is a strategic conquest board game for 2 to 4 players, where players control death lords fighting for the barren Styx River by conquering regions, gathering resources, and using tokens to build and strengthen armies. Each lord has unique abilities, and battles are decided by dice rolls, with the goal of dominating the most territories while avoiding elimination by losing all regions or key positions. We independently developed this game in 2023 with graphic designer Ahmet Tarık Yıldız over approximately 1.5 months in Turkish language for Turkish players. Although we released a demo version, we couldn’t publish it due to a lack of funding. You can access STYX’s designs here.

These are my responsibilities as a Game Designer during the development process of Styx:
Game Structure & Flow: Defining the turn-based system, resource management, combat mechanics, and progression to ensure a smooth and engaging gameplay experience.

Lore Development: Crafting the mythology, world, and background of STYX, including the story of the death lords and their battle for control over the underworld.
Rulebook Design: Writing a clear and structured rulebook that explains gameplay mechanics, objectives, and interactions between different game elements.
